Story 1727770772

Hi, my name is Noam and I living in Lod. I'm in 12 grade now. Lod is mix city with Arabs and Jews, but now it's very scary here. On October 7th, we wake up to many sirens. It was not the first time we hear sirens, but this time it different. We run to shelter and stay there for long time. I was very scared. After that day, life change a lot. The streets become very violent. I don't feel safe at all when I go outside. There is lot of tension between people. Sometimes I just want to stay in my bed and not go out.

Two weeks ago, we had another alarm that wake me up. It bring back all the fear from October 7th. I feel like I can't relax, always waiting for next siren.

School is hard now. We have shorter days and sometimes we study from home. I worry about finishing school and what will happen next.

I miss how it was before, when I could walk in street without being so afraid. Now, I always look around and feel nervous.

My parents try to make me feel better, but I can see they worried too. We try to stay strong, but it's not easy.I hope things get better soon. I want to feel safe in my city again. I want to finish school and think about future without all this fear.

This situation show me how fast life can change. I learn that we need to appreciate quiet times and try to make peace with our neighbors.
