Story 125

On October 7th, I woke up to my mother knocking loudly on my bedroom door. The first words I heard that day were "We're at war". I still remember sitting in my living room starring at the TV, terrified, hearing about the horrors that happened that same morning. That's mostly what I did for the next couple of days until we started going back to school on Zoom. I don't know anyone who was killed or held hostage, but my older sister went back to the army. I was so worried the entire time she was there but thankfully, she got back home safely. I wasn't really a victim of the war like others in my country are, but I still feel the pain in one way or another, I believe we all do.
